International Holocaust Remembrance Day

Dr. Jelena Pereira will start this week series of lectures on the topic of Holocaust in Serbia, marking the International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

We will talk about the systematic destruction of Jews in occupied Serbia from 1941 onwards, which took place in two phases:

I phase (July to November 1941) in which Jews were shot.

II phase between December 1941 and May 1942, Jewish women and children were interned at a Sajmište camp in Belgrade, where they were killed by suffocation in a moving truck-gas chamber.

28.01.2020 at 11am, dr. Jelena Pereira will keep a lecture in basic school "Sava Kovačević" in Mihajlovac, Smederevo. Topic of the lecture is Holocaust in Serbia.

On January 24, 2020, in the hall of the Kosta Manojlovic Music School in Smederevo, Dr. Jelena Pereira, in front of Likud Serbia, will have a lecture. Topic is "Holocaust in Serbia", marking the International Day of Remembrance of Holocaust Victims.
